DETAILS: Installation of Rail System
OneVision Project Services has been carring out the external window cleaning and the facade maintenance of the Tradewinds Apartments for over 10 years.
In 2019, the penthouse balconies were upgraded with new balcony balustrade glass, waterproofing and tiles. With the new balustrade in place we needed to redesign the access system so that rope technicians were able to access the facade and the internal atrium for ongoing cleaning, maintenance, repairs & painting.
OneVision’s High Maintenance Specialists installed the Sayfa Raptor Rail System around the perimeter of the slabs ends below the balustrade to achieve this. The works were are challenging task and we would recommend that should any building require glass balustrade on the top levels of their building the have a consultant provide a facade access design in the preconstruction phase. This will reduce labour costs and the difficult nature of the works in the future,
Rail systems are best installed prior to balustrading being installed and before scaffolding being removed.
